This note addresses the design problem of gain-scheduled (GS) H∞ filter for linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems in the case that the exact scheduling parameters are not available. The measurement uncertainties are supposed to belong to polytopic domain. All the system state space matrices are assumed to be affinely dependent on the scheduling parameters. A procedure is presented in terms of sequentially solving three LMI-based optimization problems for the filter synthesis. Numerical examples reveal the applicability and effectiveness of the proposed method in dealing with inexact scheduling parameters in a less conservative manner than the available methods.
