摘要

This paper focuses on the study of unconventional segmented Electromagnetic structures for Rim-driven systems. These new structures are expected to improve the use of active parts, and especially the use of stator copper, thus improving the efficiency. Analytical models are used to design these structures for a common specification set to highlight design trends. An original adaptation of classical analytical electromagnetic (EM) design models is proposed to take into account the particularities of these structures. These analytical calculations are validated using Finite Element method (Altair software).
