Grid voltage deviations caused by different grid disturbances could force the grid-connected converter disconnection. It is necessary to secure safe and prolonged connection in order to mitigate the disturbance consequences, to facilitate the disturbance recovery and improve grid integrity. Seamless integration of these disturbance dedicated objectives and objectives defined for nominal conditions is enabled by the procedure developed in this paper. Specifically, the proposed control structure results in bounded phase currents that modify the point of common coupling (PCC) voltages in a desired manner, while simultaneously maximizing power production in order to utilize primary energy source as much as possible. The validation of the concept was done in hardware-in-the loop environment.
