The management of the distribution networks (DNs) encounters serious challenges today because of the high penetration of distributed renewable energy sources (DRESs). Local control will be developed for voltage-var control due to the fast responding speed in DRESs. We consider the above issue and propose a novel direct power flow calculation method for DNs with DRESs integration. We give the approximate calculation premises that guarantee the uniqueness and feasibility of the solution. The influences of the system parameters on performance of the proposed method are discussed. The simulation analysis indicated that the proposed method could be well applied to the analysis of DNs containing DRESs.
