In this paper, we aim at designing set of unimodular sequences with very small Integrated Sidelobe Level (ISL) values that are very close to the available lower bound on the ISL. The set of sequences designed in this paper, are applicable in Code-Division-Multiplexing Multiple Input Multiple Output (CDM-MIMO) radar systems which are attractive for emerging applications in automotive. The resulting problem is formulated as a constrained optimization, whereby we use the Coordinate Descent (CD) framework to tackle it, iteratively. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the robustness and performance improvements of the proposed method in meeting the lower bound on the ISL.
