Time-domain instruments have been used in more and more areas in recent days. To display electronical signal in different time-bases, these instruments often provides interpolation or decimation module to change the sample rate of original sample data. With the increasement of sampling rate, modern time-domain instruments are often realized in parallel based sampling structure. However, traditional decimation method often works under the circumstance of serial sample data. When it comes to parallel sample data, it often cannot provide a uniform decimation, which is important for waveform display in time-domain instruments. In this paper, a novel decimation method with its realization structure is proposed to provide a uniform decimation in parallel based acquisition system. Simulation and experiment results show the validity of proposed method.
