This paper deals with three-phase power converter control system, that uses voltages and currents in a stationary reference frame. The advantages of such a control include lack of transformation between stationary and rotating reference frames, and hence no algorithm for the grid voltage phase angle determination is needed. Thanks to that, there are no trigonometric functions in control system, which allows to save microprocessor computing power. Method proposed in this paper uses PI controllers for tracking referenced Akagi's instantaneous power components, which provides zero steady-state error, and allows to use well known controller design criteria. System features equivalent dynamics as other vector control methods, but is simpler, because does not require any synchronization procedure nor dq transformation, as the power components are the same in every coordinates system.
