In this paper, we report the performance of our propagation loss estimation model in a congested environment, and we show an estimation formula that easily derives the estimation result. We obtained propagation loss characteristics in the 4.7 GHz and 66.5 GHz bands around Kamiooka Station’s main ticket gate, which is a congested indoor environment. The RMS error of the calculation results of our propagation loss estimation formula and the measured value improved by about 1 dB on average compared with the free space loss and the RMS error of the measured value. The propagation loss estimation formula we propose can estimate propagation loss characteristics with high accuracy even indoors.
