The computer image processing technology is a comprehensive technology emerged with the development of the computer technologies in the late 1980s. Image processing is a technology that uses computers, cameras and other related digital technologies to exert certain operations and processing on the images to make the images clearer so as to extract certain specific information and achieve specific purposes. In this paper, the basic operation and common algorithms of the image processing are studied, and the application of the mathematical morphology in the tissue morphology analysis is discussed in details. A digital image processing module is designed to complete the image segmentation. At the same time, based on the measuring principle of the quantitative metallography, the characterization methods of several common characteristic parameters are discussed, and the measurement scheme of the relevant parameters is designed to the segment images. The image analysis system is calibrated and the system error is analyzed and discussed.
