The sintering batching process is an important part of the whole sintering process, and the batching optimization algorithm is also the key in the current research process of sintering ingredients. In order to improve the ratio of ingredients, this paper proposes an improved particle swarm optimization algorithm. For the PSO algorithm, it is easy to fall into the local optimal solution. An improved method is proposed to layer the particles according to the distance between particles and make the particles jump out. The sintering batching scheme of a steel mill was used as the data for comparison. The experimental results show that compared with the current batching scheme of the steel mill, it can be reduced by 1.82 yuan per ton.
