GPS-TonoHime: An Android Application for Explaining Ancient Tomb Information

摘要

This paper presents an application for explaining ancient tomb information on Android terminals. Curators have described orally to students who visit Shibayama ancient tomb cluster that is nationally designated historic site. However, it is difficult to understand in depth only on the basis of oral explanation. Therefore, by using GPS data and azimuth data, our system shows photos of the relics and the excavation situations on the just position in the current scene at which each photo was taken. A system user can choose either a photograph mode or a description mode while listening to voice of an explanation. Many people were interested in Tonozuka and Himezuka ancient tomb owing to our system.
