A card operation-based programming learning system has been developed which aims to concentrate the learner on thinking of the relations between meaningful parts while supporting the appropriate allocation of cognitive load. The main target user of this system is a novice programmer who wants to learn efficient structures to realize proper processing instead of the processing method. With this system, the user can make a program by rearranging each card and learn structures for fulfilling requirements properly. In the learning task aimed at promoting the structural understanding by assembling the structure using the parts prepared in advance, educational improvements have been realized by statistically analyzing learning history data. Since the analysis of learning logs would be also effective for improving the learning effectiveness of the card operation-based system, we set it as the purpose of this paper. In this paper, we propose the new concept of distance modified by Levenshtein distance for visualizing the operations of cards. The experimental result revealed that the proposed method could detect a characteristic pattern depending on the learner.
