Investigation of Two Parallel Converters for Induction Heating, Supplying a Common Load

摘要

This paper presents an induction heating converter simulation and parametrization. The observed converter is used for induction hardening of different details. It consists of two equal units supplying power to a common load. Converter system simulations are performed using as a load system inductor-details with certain dimensions. As a result from the simulations the requirements to the converter control system are defined. Driving the converters according to these requirements will help to achieve specific power in the load as defined. Power in different stages of the heating process cold and hot detail is defined.
