The Video Sequences Quality with Wavelet Coding at Different Channel Bandwidth

The article presents the results of assessing the quality of an image transmitted over a communication channel with different bandwidth, if it is encoded with the developed wavelet codec. The degradation of the video stream quality in the case of narrowing the traffic channel with partial packet loss, if each packet contained one sub-band, was estimated. It is shown that the average compression ratio of the video codec based on the wavelet transform is 227.
