摘要

In this paper novel spider monkey optimization is implemented for solution economic scheduling one of real world problem of power system. This optimization approach mimics the natural foraging behaviour of spider monkeys using their unique fission and fusion procedure. Here various standard constrained optimization problems with different cost functions and different dimensions are solved using novel optimization approach. Finally simulation results are compared with other methods available in literature to validate the global searching ability of new optimization approach.
