Application of User Interface Transition Diagrams in the Construction of a Software System: A Case Study

We have successfully applied the User Interface Transition Diagrams to model the behavior of the system user interfaces and Detailed Sequence Diagrams to model the sequence of messages between the system modules in a project called QualiTeam. QualiTeam is a web application that aims to facilitate teaching some concepts of quality assurance in software projects. By using these two modeling tools, we were able to effectively communicate the detailed design to the novice programmers who implemented the system.
