This paper describes an azimuth-invariant bistatic experiment with P-band ultra-wideband synthetic aperture radar (UWB SAR) and presents imaging results. Bistatic P-band UWB SAR has the perfect ability of foliage penetrating, high-resolution imaging and increased information. The transmitter and receiver in this bistatic P-band UWB SAR, are both carried by a vehicle and separated by a constant range. We use the fast factorized back projection (FFBP) method and the subaperture spectrum-equilibrium method to reconstruct the bistatic P-band UWB SAR image, which is used to test the imaging property of the bistatic P-band UWB SAR. Experiment results are show to prove the validity of the bistatic P-band UWB SAR experiment.
