Role of Technology in Managing COVID-19: A Case of Saudi Arabia

COVID-19 in its first year has caused colossal loss to life and property, infecting more than ninety million people, killing nearly 1.94 million of them by 10^{th January, 2021. While the humanity was hoping it to subside, a new strain of the virus has emerged, which has been spreading more aggressively. Most of the countries have been dealing with COVID-19 in their own way, some of them better than others. Modelling, and prevention measures with the help of technology have been very helpful to understand and manage COVID-19. Analysis shows that Saudi Arabia's response to this pandemic has been outstanding as compared to other countries of the region, and better than many others in the world. In this paper, we analyse role of the technology and efficient management of the pandemic by Saudi Arabia. Based on scientific evidence, this analysis also covers projections for the economic outlook, consumption and sales of petroleum, and the cumulative impact on Saudi Arabia and regional economies.}
