A quick hand estimation of gain enhancement with air substrate in a circular sector microstrip antenna (CSMA) has been presented in paper. The standard gain estimation process has been carried out with 90° CSMA (air substrate) in comparison with conventional CSMA (PTFE substrate). Around 2.8 dB gain improvement has been achieved.
