Fault Recognition and Diagnosis are the precondition for service restoration of out-of-service area. Hence, correct and effective diagnosis of the distribution network fault is especially important for judging whether the power equipment is available and recovering the service quickly. Based on the decision table of rough set theory, fault diagnose method of the transmission lines is presented. The action information of the stage current protection device and the circuit breaker obtained by the Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) system is used as the characteristic attribute of the decision, and the synchronous phasor information obtained by the Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) is introduced to improve the fault tolerance of the decision table. The proposed method is verified on a 13-node neutral point ungrounded distribution network model, which can diagnose which line the fault is located on and the moment when the fault occurs. When the information transmitted by the terminal information collection system is faulty, the fault can still be correctly diagnosed.
