When the smart substation is expanded, or the protection equipment is replaced in the field, the amount of on-site commissioning is large, and the frequency and time of primary equipment power outage is significantly increased. In view of the problems, a factory simulation debugging technology of relay protection equipment with multi-system interconnection for smart substation expansion is proposed. Taking the smart substation expansion factory simulation debugging system as the core, the smart debugging system interconnects with SCD control system, protection fixed value management system and big data platform, realizing the automatic test and test operation control for smart substation expansion or on-site replacing protection equipment. The factory simulation debugging platform is built based on theoretical research. The test results show that the platform can effectively avoid the power outage of running line in the expansion project, and reduce power outage time of smart substation.
