Static Voltage Stability Assessment Considering Harmonic Effects

As the degree of power electronics in power systems continues increasing, the harmonic content of the system continues to increase as well. In order to study the influence of harmonics on the static voltage stability of power system, a static voltage stability analysis method considering the influence of harmonics is proposed. Firstly, by the decoupling method considering the influence of harmonicsˈ the harmonic current of the system is solved. Secondly, based on weak nodes, safety domain and sensitive nodesˈa static voltage stability analysis method are proposed. Thirdly, Latin Hypercube sampling is used in uncertain harmonic tidal current analysis. Finally, the IEEE 33-nodes system in a certain area are used. Therefore, the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified when the system contains both single harmonic source and multiple harmonic sources.
