In order to solve the problems of parallel operation of arc-suppression coils, such as different manufacturers can not be connected in parallel, the same manufacturer have more tuning times and sometimes have tuning disorder, a fuzzy control method for parallel operation of arc -suppression coils based on membership function is proposed. Firstly, the problems of automatic parallel operation are analyzed. Based on the widely used multi-tap arc-suppression coil, a fuzzy control method of parallel operation based on membership function is proposed, and the hardware and software of the arc-suppression coil are designed. The parallel operation of several arc-suppression coils has been tested many times in the high voltage simulated power grid built in the laboratory. The experimental results show that the fuzzy control can minimize the tuning times of parallel operation, not only improve the service life of the tuning mechanism and the arc-suppression coil, but also avoid the tuning disorder. The method can be further extended.
