Conventional PID has poor control effect on the large delay object of drum water level in thermal power plant, and it is difficult to achieve satisfactory control effect. Fuzzy control has better control effect on multi-disturbance and multi-variable objects, but it lacks adaptive ability to be used for drum water level control alone. A kind of fuzzy control with PID control integral function is proposed for this purpose. By adding the deviation between setting value and actual value, the fuzzy control has better control effect. The integral effect improves the lack of adaptive ability of conventional fuzzy control, and the step disturbance experiment is carried out. Compared with the control effect of conventional PID, the result shows that the fuzzy control with integral effect has better control effect.
