Design Analysis of Smart Metering Technology to implement pricing surge

In this project, we have made a smart meter using Arduino Uno and GSM module to record the consumption of electric energy consumed by consumer and communicates the information to the supplier for monitoring and billing. Not only it would help in generating bill for each consumer, it also detects the condition of excess load and sends messages to the consumer to reduce load. The service provider will increase the price at the time of excess load, this will make the consumer to shift his work at any time when the price will be lesser. This will make the distribution of load in an even manner and reduce the pressure of high peak load on the power station.
