摘要

This paper proposes a low-cost and high-resolution solution to combine phase shift and attenuation of signals. The method exploits couplers and digital step attenuators (DSA) to control phase and attenuation via setting appropriate levels of the DSAs on two I, Q channels of high frequency signals. The design and simulation are employed in 3.4+4.2GHz frequency range to enhance the beam-forming quality of transceiver modules in systems with phased-array antenna.
