Video Optimization for Testing Load Balancing of Application Delivery Controller

ADC is an application delivery controller that flexibly delivers services for traditional, containerized and micro-service applications from a data center or any cloud. It delivers unmatched security, superior L4-7 load balancing and increased uptime. It is also beneficial in scaling capacity as and when needed which can also be shared across instances on premises and in the cloud. The testing for superior load balancing capability of ADC can be done through applications built on Android and iOS platform using YouTube Player APIs. This paper discusses the testing of load balancing through sequential playback of selected videos based on an individually preset profile for each video. The outcome of the proposed system was reflected on the new build of the ADC and was found to be effective in detecting PD videos over HTTP, Adaptive Bit Rate videos over HTTP/S and optimizing YouTube ABR videos over QUIC.
