The performed research allowed observation of the behavior of the system liquid metal - ceramic crucible The shape change of the observed drop liquid (Fig. 3) allowed to determine the contact angle of liquid metal. This parameter is extremely important during the melting process using induction vacuum furnaces. The research allowed to optimize the process depending on the melted superalloy (MAR M509 or IN713C) and allowed to choose the optimal ceramic material of the crucible.
