Nb-24Ti-18Si-Al-Cr-Mo alloys were prepared by arc-melting, and the effects of the concentration of Al, Cr and Mo on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the alloys have been clarified. As the concentration of Mo increased, the proof strength of the alloy increased while the fracture strain of the alloy decreased. This would be due to the dissolution Mo into the Nb solid solution. Although the proof strength of the alloy increased due to the low concentration of Al and Cr, this effect was reduced due to the addition of 10 at. % of these elements. The fracture strain of the alloy significantly decreased due to the formation of the intermetallic compounds consisting of Cr or Al.
