摘要

Image compression with color image re-indexing is a key focus in this research. Improving the efficiency of the current state-of-art approach which is TSP based Ant colony optimization by increasing the compression gain is a prime focus. However, obtaining an optimal re-ordering for a palette is a crucial task to choose from by any brute-force way. We have successfully outperformed the existing method using PNG as codec and applying a circular shift as our heuristic method.
