摘要

This paper proposes an investigative study on DC motor braking system. Electro-magnetic relay and timer are deployed for this purpose in DC shunt motor. Plugging and dynamic braking systems are implemented to control the speed as well as brake the motor. However, a control circuit and timer methodologies are proposed in this paper. Hardware implementation is carried out in the laboratory environment to inspect the response of the system which is quite satisfactory.
