How to model the acoustic properties of a solid foam with thin membranes?

Closed-cell foams with thin membranes (a few micrometers thick) have recently been shown to have interesting acoustic absorption properties. In this paper, we show that they also have good performance in terms of transmission loss. We discuss the applicability of existent models to this type of foam.
