A study on mid-long term performance management methods of 2-layer low noise pavement

摘要

The performance of 2-layer pavement for low noise in Korea has been confirmed through field surveys, indicating a decrease in performance according to the frequency of use and the performance period. The low-noise pavement requires a maintenance plan from a long-term perspective. Suggested in this study is a plan to maintain the performance of the 2-layer low-noise pavement on a medium and long-term basis. According to the suggested plan, a performance-based contract shall be concluded so that a constructor takes the responsibility of maintaining constant performance in noise management for a designated period. It is expected that this method will bring about a more than 20% cut in the budget for maintenance.
