The emission spectroscopy study of single—pulsed surface dielectric barrier discharge at high pressures is presented. The two discharge phases - streamer and filamentary are observed and discussed. The streamer nSDBD propagates as a set of synchronously developed from the high-voltage electrode streamers. The length of the streamers decreases dramatically with pressure increase. At voltage increase, discharge transforms, within a few nanoseconds, to filamentary mode with typical length of propagation about 8-15 mm at pressures up to 12 bar. The parameters of streamer-to-filamentary transition as well as the optical emission and energy deposition analysis is performed.
