The results of this study demonstrate the potential application of SIBLING protein - polyampholyte hydrogels for use in bone tissue engineering. Specifically, it was demonstrated that OPN conjugated to TMA:CAA polyampholyte hydrogels represents the most promising combination for bone tissue engineering.
