A bioactive AZ31B metal foam material able to adapt to the biological environment of the body has been studied. The surface bioactivation was carried out by DPNS leading to favorable Ca/P phases for bone development and growth The synergistic interaction between irradiation parameters and biological fluids influence the surface structure and, consequently, the cell behavior These structures were cytocompatible allowing cell adhesion and proliferation.
