摘要

We were able to obtain calcium carbonate particles from natural resources with variable morphologies and sizes. The developed mineralized hydrogels containing calcium carbonate particles presented improved mechanical properties and an excellent cell viability. Moreover, the addition of MS particles to alginate hydrogels was able to increase cell attachment to the gel discs. Therefore, hydrogels containing 7 mg/ml of MS particles show the most promising data for tissue engineering applications.
