In Vitro Evaluation of 34.12SiO_2-17.06MgO-7.94 P_2O_5- 40.88 CaO Composition for Orthopedic Applications

摘要

In vitro test of prepared bioactive composition has shown high bioactivity with HAP layer formation on day 1. Cell cytotoxicity results show that samples are non-toxic in nature and cells have friendly environment in cell culture media. Zeta potential values show that surface of the sample carries a negative charge which is essential for the growth of osteoblastic cell attachment.
