摘要

We have developed a 3D engineered tissue model using patient-derived xenograft (PDX) tumor cells. Our PDX CRC engineered tumor models supported the growth and viability of the CRC cells, maintained human and cancer cell populations, had a stiffness range similar to in vivo tumor tissues, and closely mimicked the in vivo tumor conditions. The established platform can potentially be used to test patient-specific therapeutics and treatment strategies to mitigate CRC.
