Irreversible electroporation (IRE) based on the high-voltage and steep pulse is a new technology developed for the treatment of cancer in recent years. According to the actual demands of treatment, a pulse width adjustable, frequency adjustable, and discharge pulse adjustable tumor therapy system is developed, with the application of modern power electronics and high-voltage technology. The paper introduces the working principle of tumor therapy system and the hardware design and features of the control system. According to the working environment of high-voltage and strong interference of tumor therapy system, the actual demand of the reliable transmission of upper and lower computer data is mainly analyzed, the hardware realization scheme of serial communication, data communication protocol, and data visualization method of host computer is designed. The result of communication test proves that the serial communication system designed in this paper is stable in the communication of large data volume and the data transmission is more reliable and suitable for the application of tumor therapy system based on high-voltage and steep pulse.
