Analysis of Errors in Speech Audiometry

This paper examines two hypotheses: 1) some words in speech audiometry lead to much more frequent errors in the patients' identification and thus reduce the reliability of measurement; 2) inadequate perception can be explained from a linguistic and medical point of view and can be useful for re-examining the set of words used in speech audiometry. The results show that some words are incorrectly identified by the majority of patients. Most errors occur in the examples with falling accents and in the /i/ vowel context, as well as in the case of less known words.
