This paper proposes a control method for increasing efficiency of 3-phase current-fed dual active bridge (3-phase CF -DAB), which can be operated within wide voltage range satisfying ZVS condition. The 3- phase CF -DAB is combined converter, 3-phase dual active bridge (DAB) converter and bi-directional buck-boost converter. To improve the system efficiency in whole operated range, both the duty ratio and phase between stages are controlled for decreasing conduction loss and circulating current. In this paper, a basic principle of 3-phase CF -DAB is introduced and proposed control method is discussed in detail. The proposed control method is verified by experimental results.
