This paper presents the design of a high-frequency PWM half-bridge inverter for electrosurgical cutting applications with 500 kHz of operating frequency by the use of PWM technique. This may help to develop the medical technologies and decrease the needs of important technologies from other countries. The prototype was designed, built and tested in laboratory. It is found that the sample tissue can be cut by the electric current arc between active and plate electrodes at the output side of inverter and the maximum efficiency is 94.5 % at 146.3 W of output power and 500 kHz of operating frequency.
