Influence of Channel Error on Nulling Antenna's Anti-Jamming Performance

Nulling Antenna is a kind of digital array antenna which includes three parts of passive array, RF front-end and digital beam synthesis. Generally, the RF front-end of each channel has channel error with inconsistent amplitude and phase property due to the device variations. Firstly, the signal and error model in nulling antenna is defined. Then the relationship between the channel error and the anti-jamming performance is analyzed if weight calculation is based on the power inversion criterion. Theoretical analysis result shows that the channel error does not impact the performance. So unlike phased array antennas or adaptive array antennas, we do not need to correct the channel error for nulling antenna. At last, simulations also prove the conclusion through the antenna pattern and spectrum of output signals.
