摘要

Development of different curvatures of cylindrical and spherical Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) has been demonstrated in this paper. The wideband metallic FSS has a passband between 9-11 GHz with a performance that is independent of the direction of the incoming wave between 0°~40°. HFSS is used for simulating and optimizing in search of the optimum dimension of the FSS unit cell. Current and dielectric distribution are analyzed and the existence of fringe effect is validated. For potential instructions in designing conformal FSS in the future, a bandwidth fitting curve with respect to conformal radius is created.
