The study presents a method for tuning the phase-shift during measurement of hysteresis losses. It allows to make sure that the two voltages, representing the magnetic field B and the field intensity H, are in-phase, in order to correctly obtain the losses in the magnetic core. For this reason the phase shift is estimated for the fundamental component. With the use of two carefully sized low-pass filters, the two voltages are made inphase and the attenuation is estimated. The method is then applied on an inductor with a magnetic core for different frequencies of the sinusoidal signal in order to obtain the losses due to hysteresis.
