Radar and communication fusion for covert scenarios is a viable topic nowadays due to spectrum crowding and the desire to enhance functionality of RF systems. Software-defined OFDM systems are increasingly considered to fill the role of such multi-functional framework with a potential for covertness of operations. In our work, we introduce a simple and effective method of designing waveforms for radar and communications and describe a setup of simultaneous radar imaging and data transmission. We illustrate the method's implementation via experimental results that demonstrate a capability of simultaneous sensing and communications between two un-synchronized platforms.
