The article proposes mathematical models for analysis of electromagnetic processes in AC voltage thyristor regulators used in the various fields, such as chemical industry, municipal heat and water supply, in mining and metallurgical electrical equipment, and also as devices for soft start-up of asynchronous machines. The proposed mathematical models on the basis of spectral method based and switching functions are realized. Modes of operation of thyristor regulators of alternating voltage were discussed and analyzed using the developed models. And also an estimation of currents and voltages quality of the thyristor regulator executed according to the classical scheme with antiparallel connection of thyristors (classical) and an AC voltage multi-zone regulator is carried out.
