Modeling for the Optimal Network Design of 'Many-to-One' Customized Bus System

As an important role in sharing transportation, customized bus system can provide flexible travel service and has been attached significant attention. In recent years, maximizing the benefit of customized bus network has been studied by many researchers. However, considerations of stakeholders are the sole focus in most cases. This paper firstly adds some specific parameters such as load factor and value of time. Secondly, three objectives including the efficiency of network, the profit of customized bus enterprises, and the travel cost of passengers are explained and processed afterwards. Then, a final multi-objective model for a "many-to-one" customized bus network is built, and an applicable algorithm is suggested. Finally, an example is given and calculated to verify the feasibility and rationality of the model. The multi-objective model proposed in this paper can address the shortage of single-objective optimizations of customized bus systems and gain comprehensive profits.
