摘要

This paper deals with the design of a normal saliency Interior Permanent Magnet motor, also referred as flux-intensifying PM motor. A multi-barrier rotor geometry is adopted and studied using an analytical model in order to obtain an almost sinusoidal air gap flux density waveform. The motor performance improvement has been evaluated by Finite Element Analysis and experimental validation has been carried out on a motor prototype.
